Seekers are restless souls. Dissatisfied with “ordinary” life, they long for something more—something more interesting, meaningful, and inspiring. They are forward-gazing, seeing the future as a storehouse of intriguing potentials and possibilities. The promise and allure of the future is a powerful magnet for seekers, energizing and compelling them forward in life. While others may at times see them as fickle or unreliable, seekers know that staying true to themselves is non-negotiable, critical to their life and vitality.
Seekers are also creative souls who desire to explore and harness their creative potential. Many discover that absorption in creative work is a profoundly meaningful and rewarding experience. Not only does it provide seekers an opportunity to escape the doldrums of everyday life, but it can engender a deep sense of purpose and accomplishment.
In this light, we assert that seeking and creating are highly compatible roles and, for many individuals, combine to form the “seeker-creator” life role.
